My younger two sit in on the nine year old’s lessons and will likely get their own profiles set up this school year, too. He’s looking forward to taking Rosetta Stone Homeschool courses in addition to the Latin program he’s currently taking.

For me, foreign language was something you took in middle or high school, and somewhat daunting. I’ll be honest – I thought that this foreign language program would be too tough for my daughter, despite her above-average ability. I love that there’s immediate feedback, and kids are engaged right away – and for the whole time. This combination allows for immediate comprehension, without need for translation or memorization. So, when I was thinking about the coming homeschool year, and was offered the opportunity to try Rosetta Stone for Homeschool, I opted to indulge her interests instead of going the more practical route of having the kids all learn a more mainstream foreign language. She’s wanted to learn to speak French ever since she read the book, Fancy Nancy and the Boy From Paris a few years ago. Billowy clothing, historic periods, and all things French. And, I don’t mean romantic in “looking for love” romance I mean that she loves all things romantic.
